For some reason, we never took the tree down in the basement. Still has it lights too. One of those, “Maybe tomorrow I’ll take it down,” things. But not today.

I have more ties than computers…. but I don’t remember the last time I wore one. I think they’re hanging in a closet behind some old computers.

I grew up when and where a dog on a leash was weird.

Whoever heard of syrup made from PANCAKES? Of course it’s Maples Syrup. ;)

Our jays scare away the sparrows, the greedy sparrows scare away the chickadees, redpolls and nuthatches while they fight amongst themselves. Chickadees, redpolls and nuthatches are very polite. Grab what they fit in their beaks and then back off to give someone else room. Once in a rare while we see a woodpecker. He’ll take precedence. Fortunately, our grackles, starlings, and red-winged blackbirds head south for the winter..

I remember those signs… I thought one was for the food and one was for the result of the food. I was young then.. :)
