Remember, toddlers, it’s important to speak up when you’re in a car and it stops!
Jokes aside, babies being with a parent whose routine doesn’t involve getting them out of the back seat is how they get forgotten about. If you are driving around a small child and don’t have a stone-set routine to check the back seat, put something you will be looking for in the back of the car. Babies can fall asleep and stay quiet. Routine is a very strong ruler.
Perhaps Rudy has a job he has to go to and couldn’t watch Shannon all day long? Toni and Brad arranged their shifts so that at least one of them were home with Shannon at any time.
Or perhaps Rudy isn’t willing to watch Shannon at all. They’re both staying there so Shannon will remain Jonah’s responsibility.
Perhaps she envisioned it as a day camp (whether as a misunderstanding or because she couldn’t deal with it), not that she’d spend the whole month, including all nights, without her dad.
My son was like that in between learning the word “no” and the word “yes”. Now I can actually find out what he wants, provided I ask the right question!
Still waiting for the moment he learns enough words to just tell me. In the meantime, we play charades…
You need to go for either a vampire or a ghost. I think all other will be quite ugly by definition.
