It would have been a much larger storm. I hunkered down and survived Hurricane Ivan, a very large in size Category 3 storm when it hit the Florida Panhandle. We were 7 days without power. It appears Houston will have to take longer to restore power to it’s citizens. My wife and I camped in a tent on the beach at Matagorda on Sept 5, 1980 while tropical storm Danielle blew across.Afterwards I asked her if she were scared. She said no and thought I had everything under control. I told her I was really scared.
