You think you are criticizing the government and government unions. You are not. You are giving a reason that everyone should have a union. (Yes, I was a union member.) Unions even out the amount of power the two sides (employer and employee) have in negotiating salary and benefits.
Although this comic is very funny, I am tired of the unfounded criticism of the United States Postal Service. Do they make mistakes? Of course. But 99.99999% of the time they do the job perfectly. Among my frustrations with the Republican Party, their desire to destroy the Post Office is towards the top.
Back in the 1970s I had a history teacher who defined advertising as “creating a need”. At the time I had no idea what he meant but those words stuck with me anyway. I now understand and realize how correct he was.
I disagree with the premise. The problem isn’t that people don’t have brains. The problem is that people don’t seek out accurate information before forming an opinion.
I carefully planned ahead before I retired because I was certain that economic conditions were not always going to be perfect. I am very happy I did because I am still in good financial shape. But, I still enjoy rice and beans.
