I live in the rural Midwest. If you see another car approaching a 4-way stop, it is best to slow down or speed up so that you don’t both arrive at the same time. Otherwise, there will be a 5-minute polite off as you wave each other on.
Don’t get me wrong, my local CVS is the best. They are just so understaffed. My wife just found a hack to get through. Call, when ready to leave a voice message, hang up, and call right back. Somehow, it rings right through.
CVS just eliminated the ability to talk to anyone on the phone. You can leave a voice mail, but it is unlikely to be answered. It is easier and quicker to drive 10 minutes to the pharmacy.
One Christmas I brought my family to work. I gave my kids a roll of quarters and let them at the vending machines. Then let them watch movies on the projector TV in the conference room. They thought it was great.
I used to be able to call CVS and get a pharmacist, but there is no longer any option to get through. You have to leave a voice mail that may or may not be answered. Now it is faster to drive to the store and talk to them in person.
My wife has a sign on the fridge that says “I will not complain when my husband goes shopping.”
