   I’m with Dave53, he sees this as a great way to keep his daughter close while doing a good thing for future in-laws, and getting out from under fees and maintenance on the boat. And isn’t his wife deceased? He may not want to be ON it himself, but can’t bear losing something altogether that has memories he cherishes attached.

   I’ve been thinking that Gus just figures that they’ll come visit the kids more often if they have the boat, and that means the kids won’t be going to J&A’s as often. Every time they woudl go he’d have to find someone to help out at the place. If A&J come to visit, he doesn’t have to find temp help.

   John and Elly didn’t get divorced, but I believe that Lynn and her husband did divorce.
