    It is hard enough to get up when it dark at 6:30. Keeping DST just would make that worse. If you live on the western end of a timezone sunrise is way late.

    I didn’t worry about monsters hiding. I grew up with knotty pine paneling in the hall and down the stairs. After waking up from a bad dream and going down stairs to safety there were hundreds of eyes watching you!

    History in certainly immutable but what is taught and then accepted as history changes all the time. People are referring to the latter when they say history is mutable. Don’t call them out when they are being sarcastic.

    Outward opening doors on commercial buildings prevent a crush of people from preventing the door from being opened during a fire or other evacuation. For homes, it is more likely that the door will be blocked by snow or other outside debris when a fast escape is needed.

    Nothing wrong with being ignorant. Remember there is a difference between ignorance and low intelligence. Ignorance can be fixed
