   Dan, you do a masterful job of calling forth the “spirits” of Buz Sawyer, Terry and the Pirates, Steve Canyon, Gould’s Dick Tracy, the Phantom, Rip Kirby and many of the other GREAT adventure strips of my childhood. Your humor is is presented in a satirical way but one that also shows your love for and homage to that genre. Rip Haywire is always one of the first comics I read on a daily basis. Thank you and continue to “keep the faith.”

   Its understandable, VistaBill, that you would like you VistaVision but how about SmelloVision? Were that technology in use here we could smell the acrid odor of gunpowder and, perhaps, the stench of Sprocket’s jealousy toward KandiKane and the aroma of Ms. Lane’s righteous indignation at the wounding of her sweetheart!

   Thought about Cap’n Easy when I saw her last name and, come to think of it, Rip resembles Easy and Buz Sawyer!

   Why can’t both sides leave their political views out of your comments. No matter which side you espouse you are insulting someone. Just let people enjoy what is supposed to be an entertaining medium. If you must argue your respective stances, go to a political website.

   Remember PatrickDC202 that the townspeople have been brainwashed or hypnotized and that in such a state of mind they would, most likely, not notice the minor mistakes that we outside observers. Since they were the ones who restored the 1940s era village, they were already immersed in seeing it as such a place of that epoch.
