Dr. Gary Kleck, FSU criminologist, estimates that victims use guns for protection 2½ million times every year. So in those ten years, that’s about 25 million times that victims used guns for protection vs. Trudeau’s questionable 270,000 deaths. In other words, for every person killed, 100 defended themselves.
Every time a concealed carry law passes, the crime rate in that area drops. Of course Trudeau calls that “weakening” our gun laws.
Let’s see. Jimmy Carter started Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (mistake). Bill Clinton vastly expanded both (bigger mistake). Barney Frank and Chris Dodd urged them to make loans to people who were less likely to repay (biggest mistake).
TARP was a mistake. The stimulus was a bigger mistake. QE2 is now the biggest mistake.
There’s enough blame to go around.
The real lesson to be learned here is that if you really want to screw up the economy, get government involved.
It’s not just MSNBC (the worst offender), but NPR and the broadcast networks all fawned over Obama. The nomination, in front of those styrofoam Greek columns in Denver was comparable to canonizing Obama as a saint for that crowd.
“What America needs, more pollsters and lobbyists.”
Guess what? Pollsters and lobbyists are expensive. They only exist because the government is dispensing so much money. If you want to eliminate them, limit spending.
The best way to do that is to prohibit government borrowing. That would have to include things like pensions. They have to be paid for to be written into law, rather than the current mess where today’s politicians assign spending to those in the future, without bothering to pay for it.
GB does not mention Bill Clinton’s $350,000 speaking fee.

or the time Clinton took $175,000, but they couldn’t sell the seats.
