   If I remember correctly, Renko WAS supposed to die in that pilot episode. I don’t remember why they decided to keep him alive during the rest of the series. Couldn’t be because he was one of my favorite characters….

   I always loved this particular strip. The look on Opus’ face is priceless and Portnoy is a crackup. Even though I voted a straight Meadow Party ticket in that election, I still feel their pain….

   Longer ago than I care to admit, I bought a “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted For Bill ‘n’ Opus” T-shirt. I still drag it out on election days… to the consternation of my wife… :)

   Hell yeah!! I still have mine in a box of old tee shirts I couldn’t bear to throw out.

   I’m proud to say that I voted a straight Meadow party ticket in the 1984 election. Bill’n Opus in 2012!!
