My friend who lives in Vermont says there are 5 seasons:
Colors, Brown, Snow, Mud, and Green
Translation:
Colors = Fall when the leaves are turned
Brown = after the leaves fall off the trees and before it snows
Snow = winter w/ snow
Mud = when the snow melts
Green = spring/summer when the trees are green, the grass grows, etc
Had a friend in college who played bagpipes. She had to be really creative to find places to practice. Even the quiet practice rooms in the music department were not sound proof enough for the bagpipes.
When I was a kid losing my baby teeth, my dad showed me how to tie a string to it and tie the other end to a doorknob. Then just slam the door and out came the tooth. Dad claimed that’s what he did when he was a kid. It worked for me. At some point, the loose tooth would be really annoying - not ready to fall out, but loose enough to bug me - so this method got it out easily. (mom was a little freaky about this, but the dentist assured her I wasn’t doing any harm)
@JR - or maybe they both got kicked out of Professor Snape’s potions class
