A redundant comment, but this comic is my experience too! Living in Portland OR, every time I go back to Philly to visit family I’m always thrilled to see my first Cardinal! It never gets old.
In Portland Or, they drive folks crazy every spring. The get up onto the metal tops of chimneys and drill, knowing that the sound reverberates all around, part of their spring drive to attract mates I guess. Inside the house, it’s very loud. We encircled the top of the chimney with a spike strip to stop it.
Through The Looking Glass (book):“Will you walk a little faster?” said a whiting to a snail. There’s a porpoise close behind us, and he’s treading on my tail…"… “If I’d been the whiting,” said Alice, I’d have said to the porpoise, ‘Keep back, please: we don’t want you with us!’”“They were obliged to have him with them,” the Mock Turtle said: “no wise fish would go anywhere without a porpoise.”
