    Well… they’re living in a house and not on the street. Garfield’s living on a steady diet of lasagna and not looking for scraps in garbage cans (unless he wants to) or begging from strangers. So… yeah. I’d say they’re living quite well. Garfield has no right to complain.

    What’s with all these nightmares? Is Jim Davis trying to tell us something?

    However, I have to wonder if the old theory is correct. Back around Halloween in 1989, Davis ran a week long plot where Garfield wakes up to find that Jon’s house… and him… had been abandoned. In the final strip of the week, a desperate Garfield goes into denial about his situation and everything seems all right again. The theory is that from then on, everything Garfield experiences in the strip is in his own imagination as he slowly starves to death in the abandoned house.

    I’m starting to wonder if there’s something to it…
