I read this in High School too. I thought I didn’t like poems until I realized I listen to poems every day on the radio, set to music. Thank you Paul Simon.
" Money (That’s What I Want) " is a rhythm and blues song written by Tamla founder Berry Gordy and Janie Bradford, which was the first hit record for Gordy’s Motown enterprise. Barrett Strong recorded it in 1959 as a single for the Tamla label, distributed nationally on Anna Records.
My favorite Polack joke: Two Polacks are staring at a flagpole when a lumberjack walks up and asks what are they doing? One Polcak says, We’re trying to figure out how tall the flagpole is." The Lumberjack says, “No problem” and grabs the flagpole, pulls it out of the ground, lays it down, whips out his measure tape, measures the pole and says, “It’s forty feet.” He then grabs the flagpole again and puts it back in it’s original place and walks on. The one Polack says to the other Polack, “What a stupid lumberjack. We wanted to know the height, not the length!!”
