But mind you a military person’s base pay is in the poverty range.

I was in the military over 20 years ago. As I remember it, we all had access to free food via the mess hall, I think. If you’re in the field, you have MRE’s and occasional hot meals. But now that I think of it…if you were married and got the extra money for living off post with your family or a little less money for living on post with you family, I think you may have had to actually pay for a meal in the mess hall. I think. So long ago. So it’s mostly the families that would be on food stamps.

You mean, we can be nuked by accident?! Good grief, we are so doomed.

When my vet couldn’t figure out why my cat was limping after doing x-rays, I found a holistic vet nearby. For $100 and the small inconvenience of having to ask for my cat’s records from the regular vet, she did a little chiropractic stuff, a little acupuncture, and he was just fine after that.

Lenny!!!! You’re back!!!! I haven’t been reading my comics for 2 to 3 years and was feeling so far in the dumps as I read my email I decided to read my comics for once. Then what do I see but The Big Picture and it looks like a new one and…it is!!! I just got caught up. I’m thankful I only missed a few months. I was so sad when you decided to quit after Ginger’s death and I really never expected to see a new comic from you again. I’m glad for you that you had other, more promising pursuits, but was quite sad for the rest of us who like to think and laugh while reading our comics. Welcome back welcome back welcome back! You have been missed!
