Which Concord? Concord, NH? Concord, NC? Concord, CA? Concord, GA? So many Concords…so little time.

My boss’ name is Frank. Best boss ever. And it is just Frank. Not Francis. His father was just Frank, too (but different middle name).

I have a lisp and a stutter that I’ve had most of my life. Are you going to pick on me about it? She’s little. She has time to learn how to pronounce words properly.

I honestly don’t remember ever being grossed out by my parents’ PDA. All us kids knew that they loved each other; it just made sense.

I’ve been a Monkees fan since they first aired. Yes, I was not quite 2, but apparently I loved them enough where it was written in my baby book that I loved their music. I’ve always been a Peter Tork girl. My daughter & I had the undeniable thrill of meeting Micky Dolenz in 2023. (My daughter’s 1st concert was Micky Dolenz in February of 2020.)

I remember sliding across my mother’s newly cleaned floor in socks.

When my little brother was 3, he had a plastic ride-on “motorcycle”. He was all about Evel Knievel at the time. He would stretch out the recliner, carry the cycle to the top of the back, get on, yell “Knievel Knievel!”, and ride down the length of the chair.

My parents always went away over Labor Day Weekend. They’d have a grandmother come & stay with us kids & no one was to contact them unless it was the direst of emergencies. It’s no wonder that a) they were married for 67 years and b) they had 7 kids!

My older brother (the youngest older one) & I went out of our way to disagree on things. If I liked red, he liked blue. If he liked Dracula, I liked Frankenstein. That’s just how we rolled. After he had his near fatal accident when in his 20s, he called me apologizing for every single disagreement we ever had…including a few that I’m sure didn’t actually happen.

My brother’s birthday was on Washington’s Birthday. He used to tease me, saying, “MY birthday is on Washington’s Birthday…the greatest president…founding father…we even live in a white house. YOUR birthday is on the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire & other disasters.” The funny thing is, as an adult he was in a horrible accident & lost chunks of his memory. He forgot everyone’s birthdays – including his own kids – except mine! He called me almost every year on my birthday. (RIP Larry…I miss you. 1961-2023)
