We had that; the friend didn’t care.

I was just remembering some of the stupid fights my best friend & I had as children. Whenever we had a “falling out” I would stand at the marker that marked the boundary between her yard & mine & the “sidewalk”, standing on the sidewalk portion in front of her yard. That drove her nuts. However, we always patched things up after.

I was raised right-handed. One time, a few years ago, I was at a Ladies Bible Group & we all had to draw a picture with our non-dominant hand. All of the ladies thought that I didn’t follow the directions.

Years ago my husband & I had an answering machine that had a very limited record time. Almost everyone we knew would leave ultra-short messages…except for one friend who would use up the time, hang up, call back, continue the message, etc. Sometimes he would take up 4 or 5 messages.

My husband had a recipe for spaghetti that he wasn’t sharing. in 2010 he almost died. After he recovered, the first time he made his spaghetti after that, he had me type up every step as he cooked it. So, now, not only do I have it, but he’ll give it to anyone who asks.

The only fruitcake I could ever stand was my father-in-law’s. Unfortunately, when he died, the recipe went with him.

We have a tradition called the “Lame Fortune Contest”. The one with the lamest fortune wins. 9 times out of 10, it’s me.

We’ve had exceedingly cuddly female cats. One insisted on morning cuddles first thing in the morning, as soon as my alarm went off. I set my alarm a few minutes early so that she wouldn’t make me late.

My parents’ rule was, the second you got a job, you paid “rent”. I started paying a small, nominal “rent” at 16 with my first part-time job. Personally, I felt – even at the time – that it was fair.

Oh, the second we realized we forgot we pulled it out. Her face was priceless.
