Many years ago, my husband had a favorite flannel shirt that he refused to get rid of. One day he was working outside and tossed the shirt on the back of his truck. He later went to the hardware store but forgot about the shirt, which fell off the truck somewhere along the way. I was kind of happy to be rid of it. Then a day or two later, as we were driving down the highway, my husband spotted something by the side of the road. You guessed it… it was his beloved flannel shirt, which he retrieved. After that incident we referred to it as his roadkill shirt!
My grandfather was a school custodian, and he used to take those toilet paper sheets home with him. They had a dispenser in their bathroom at home!
