   Sure they gave a thought to the Arabs living there (who were no more “original” than the Jews, arguably less, but why should that have mattered? What they were carving up was the remains of the Ottoman Empire, not lands that were most recently ruled by either of those groups). Ever hear of the Partition Plan? It planned the creation of TWO states, and it was the Jews who accepted the presence of an Arab state in half of what remained of Mandatory Palestine. But the Arabs weren’t willing to allow the Jews even that pittance.

   Anyway, it was kind of the goyim who decreed that Jews can’t be safe unless they’re in a state that they control. By centuries of Crusades, Explulsions, Inquisitions, Pogroms, Blood Libels and second (or lower)-class status.

   Oh, no doubt they’re as evil as the next profit-seeking corporation. But if you find yourself in, say, Hastings, Nebraska at 10 PM needing some food or over the counter medicine or toiletry or article of clothing or tool, there’s no way that the old Mom & Pop would have been open for you, if you even knew where to find it.

    I’m a fan of quirky roadside stuff but lord, do I disagree with you. Wal-Marts are a reliable place all across the country to get your hands on practically anything you suddenly find yourself needing. And the Interstates are a massive time saver. Multi-lane roads on which you can pass slowpokes, and no traffic lights? You can’t possibly consider those bad things. You want to stick to one-laners? Be my guest, at least you won’t be in front of me when I’m actually trying to reach my destination.
