I notice that you say nothing about Trump handing out a government contract for $400 million to Musk for Tesla vehicles.

Exactly. Seriously, how often has anyone reading this actually celebrated the Presidents?

Sure. But those were the rules we made up for ourselves. Not imposed on us by grownups, as they encased us in body armor.

Yep. Back before everything had to be regimented and supervised. Parents get their kids taken away and themselves locked up for giving their children the free reins now that EVERYONE in my generation took for granted. (And spare us the “Ooo, but the crime!!!!” when the violent crime rate in the US is less than HALF what it was in 1990 alone, let alone 1970.)

Mm, you’re missing the point. No Arab RULER gives a d@mn about the Palestinians. But their subjects sure do, and those rulers aren’t all that interested in popular riots or being overthrown for backing Der Orangefuhrer’s ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

I read an article in the local newspaper once, about how local drug dealers would give 8- or 9-year olds $100 to stand on street corners and keep an eye out for the cops. And I thought, d@mn, how many grownups would pass on that, let alone kids?

That article was over 35 years ago now, to put the cash in perspective.
