@Wiley Ah, I understand the issue now. Archaic, informal, and British. I grew up in the 70s, and have lived in 8 different states, on both coasts, and a few different countries, and have never heard this uttered. I now see this comic and being irrelevant to me.

I’ve never heard someone say ‘dishing on’. What are the origins of that phrase? I’ve heard ‘dis’ used before, as in ’don’t dis me’. And that derives from disrespect. Dishevel, maybe?
