   Well, good to see Annie and Warbucks are still alive. Have missed them. Years ago The Florida Times Union dropped Little Orphan Annie and Dick Tracy as too violent for our young simpletons. (Now they can get their violence from the nightly TV “news” or out in the streets.) Started reading Little Orphan Annie in the 1940’s. Learned a lot about good people, acts of kindness, evil people, rumor mongers, do-gooders, cons & conees, politicians and corporate raiders. Along lifes way acquired a BA and MAT degree but probably acquired more useful “real world” info. from Little Orphan Annie than from the “….over schooled and under educated….” proffesors at the nine colleges and universities I bounced in and out of.
