I started reading Gil back in 8th grade, in 1966, when we moved back to the U.S. from Okinawa. I've been hooked ever since. Currently, I teach at a small international school in Kazakhstan but spend my vacations in The Netherlands, close to where our two kids live...and our two grand kids.

    “There can be only one!” What was that movie and TV series with that catch phrase? McCloud living forever, cutting off heads of rivals, etc?

    Without bailing, many a small boat would sink, even if they paid their rent and actually lived there and weren’t faking it…like a ___________ (fill in with whatever innuendo you want).

    Bitsy, it’s a very direct connection. The different animals begin thinking they they are better than other groups, like, “We’re ‘Too Cool For This Farm’” and each other. A successful team would never be like this as you’re only as strong as your weakest link. The last three years, I’ve been teaching literature. I prefer math but do like to read.

    Those are rather round bat bags. They look more like volleyball sleeves, which are used to carry five or six volleyballs. For a microsecond, I thought of a golf bag, a preview of the next storyline, I assume.

    I know people who have but “highlight films” aren’t taken seriously. Entire game film got one kid in the Nike Camp, though, his French club didn’t want to give it and lose him to the U. S.
