   What I LOVE about Calvin and Hobbes fighting is it shows what a tremendous imagination young Calvin has … because he’s making up both sides of the argument. Boy’s a genius.

   (1) GREAT punch line, but… (2) The ethicator clearly hasn’t worked because self-righteousness is NOT GOOD! (3) Bill W’s drawing is so wonderful - look at that third frame.

   I’m having trouble imagining an “evil” Calvin. Does anyone else fing that difficult? Of course a very naughty Calvin is EASY to imagine. He’s the one we know and love.

   Let’s hope the ethicator doesn’t get set to that ‘evil’ setting.

   Personally, I don’t like it when they break the fourth wall (i.e. look at and speak to the audience).

   For me Calvin and Hobbes are real people. The line could just as easily have been said by Calvin to Hobbes. That would have been just as funny.

   NB: It is very rare for me to find even the tiniest thing about a C&H cartoon that isn’t pitch perfect. Bill Watterson was a TOTAL GENIUS.
