This is one of the best of the many, many tributes this morning. It was so unexpected seeing a fully grown, middle-aged Charlie Brown. I burst out laughing. We will never forget you, Charlie Brown. :)
When I was a child we lived in Northern Rhodesia for a time. Chameleons were very common-place and it was easy to find one in the home. They change colour slowly over a period of several hours. I remember seeing one on an old black bicycle in the porch. A few hours later I went back to see where it was. I searched for ages, then eventually spotted it sitting in exactly the same place. It had become the same colour as the old bicycle. They catch flies and other insects and that is their hunting camouflage.
I live in South Africa and in the more affluent areas the shops encourage their customers to use fabric bags. I live in a retirement complex and there is only one couple who do not use fabric bags. They have no interest in protecting the environment.
