   Yeah, but the tailhook and its assembly are mounted to the airframe so that it could do the least amount of damage to the aircraft.

   If the F-18 wore pants and the tailhook were mounted to the pants, the pants would rip at best, and come off at worst.

   When I bought my first answering machine in the late-1980s, not only did it put an end to me taking messages, it also put an end to me answering phones.

   And when my housemates were not thrilled that I was answering phones and screening calls, the answering machine also put an end to me having housemates, too, and made my life very peaceful.

   I did something similar on a test and even though I got the answer right, the teacher marked it as wrong because she did not like my remark about how the Jack Parr Show was very, very old in 1981…I wouldn’t be surprised if Ms. Wormwood marked Calvin’s answer wrong, too.
