Don’t bite, Bets – the brownies are so powerful these days that you may indeed sleep but will be accompanied by phantasmagorical visions on the insides of your eyelids.
Trudeau does have a track record of getting hyper-topical. This is probably funniest to somebody who is enmeshed in the inner workings of academic economics. That wouldn’t be me…
One need not be a Christian to read and benefit from the Bible. What you’re talking about is called “eschatology”, and because Trump is so clearly full of the sort of qualities where you might come to expect of the man of lawlessness, it would be easy to suppose that he is the one prophesied about. A lot of people get so wrapped up in the end times theology that they go hopping down the bunny trail instead of doing any real good. I know, I’ve been there. Whatever your belief system, you know, without a doubt that it is your job to do all the good you can. As a Christian, I believe that I get extra help as I attempt to do good myself. Jesus himself says that no man knows the day or the hour, and Scripture does speak of more than one antichrist. You are certainly correct that Trump falls into that category. Grace and peace.
