Why is Calvin stuck in the ‘Christmas’ mode? He better start doing something and beng good for next ‘Christmas’ or he’ll be one sorry little boy/man! How bout making a ‘Valentine’ for mom!? He’s got a lot of time on his hands!
My inner self and everything I’m made of has been affected by this terrible tragedy. I, like many, keep watching and playing out each and every day on CNN or wherever. I just wish there truly was something I could do to help. All I can offer is my prayers, and for some, it has worked. Looking around me, I feel very rich and blessed, however, my surroundings do nothing to help the Haitians.
I think the illusion of ‘santa’ should live in the hearts of all of us. it is all about the giving heart, not the value of the present. poor “calvin” will grow up some day and figure all this out. but, I hope it isn’t in my lifetime!
At my age, we had NO snow days when I was small. We had to trudge though it no matter what, and they didn’t penalize us for being late. It was expected! Good ole ‘Mountaineer Country, W.Va.
