I don’t remember anyone recommending a hot foot bath to help cure a cold. Our cold remedies were more dramatic than that. We used to fry up an onion and put the fried rings in an old sock. Then we tied the sock around our necks. Did wonders for opening up the sinuses.
Smart girl – getting an early start on next year’s Christmas shopping. And a personal Merry Christmas to us all from the staff. Nice touch. Puts Nancy in a class by herself!
Must be Christmas cookies – back in the day – most of the Christmas gifts we exchanged were home-made gifts – like fruit cake, cookies, fudge, blankets, pillows, hand-carved horses, hand-sewn rag dolls. Christmas cards were also usually hand made and delivered in person – not by sending them in the mail. My grandmother had a scrap book of every card she ever received and 90 % of them were hand made.
Great to see the kids enjoying the holidays with a little shopping for Christmas gifts, Santa probably passed out because what the Department sotre REALLY wants is for ALL the kids to REALLY want a whole LOT of stuff!
That Sluggo is such a versatile athlete – today he’s getting together with friends to toss around the football – tomorrow he’s learning the fine points of golf.
Got to love the Olden Days – Not only is Nancy ready to celebrate the Holidays – But that bell ringing Santa is probably ringing the bell to help out orphaned kids – like Nancy. Bell ringing Santas all deserve some love and appreciation.
