   Different dogs, mostly neighbors’. Botched orthopedic surgery. Hard yank from a Chow. Son’s new dog, he called me in ER and said when I came the next time, that dog would be gone, he kept his promise, even paid for ER. That was the worst bite. My pup jumped in front of me, I threw him on the washer to get him out of harm’s way, that’s when his dog got me. It would have been my dog’s death had he gotten him. He’s my service dog, I can’t live w/o him! One was a severe burn, that was as bad as the worst bite as far as lasting damage.

   I laid my husband’s to rest in my backyard and placed a memorial stone behind them. He’s been gone nearly 20 years, they’re long gone…ashes to ashes, dust to dust.Our pets are buried in the same area, my kids call it the family burial plot. It’s where I want mine to be placed.

   I had a neighbor that had a Pit Bull named Miss Piggy, sweetest dog in the world! Gentlest! She lived to 19. Used to joke to my neighbor, “Shhh…don’t tell her she’s a Pit!”

   One lab down the street, he’s nuts, but I give Nori treats through the gate, just have to pull my hand back quick. He’s over exhuberant, no training.

   I’ve had over 17 hand injuries, (including a horribly botched surgery), most of them dog bites (all since Covid), only have 10% strength now…
