Well, let’s see; as I understand it there was a structure left in the remains that resembled a cross. Benson depicted it here. There are law suits already pending to prevent its use in the memoral.

The first thing you need to know about Krugman is that he is a democrat, he is a liberal, and he is a Keynesian. Oh wait that’s like 3 things. To the average American Krugman is nothing but a paid Op-Ed writer. To a few, his other writings offer significant insights into Keynesian economics. If you don’t know what the Keynesian economics theory is it can be summed up as the answer to any recession is to spend money, regardless of any other mitigating factors like debt. The second part of that economic theory is that if the spending doesn’t work then you spend more money and so on…

Are you trying to be funny? Perhaps you really don’t know a death star. Ether way you fail to make any point.

Ok so 1937 may as well be on a different planet. It was a different economy, and a different America. What worked then is irrelevant to what we need today.

You see! Some of us assume one or the other is right. In this case an airplane or indeed perhaps a helicopter. Which is it really? Perhaps neither… Perhaps the pilot would be the voters and just want something that flies regardless of whether it is a helicopter or an airplane.

I do understand the division of powers in our government but to contend that the President doesn’t want to spend a lot more of our money is disingenuous at best. Shouldn’t we at least make not of the fact that in order to need a debt ceiling adjustment is the result of having overspent our authorized credit in the first place? When ever Keynesian economics fails, as it often does, the cure is always to spend more money. Might I point out that had we not overspent in the first place then the debt ceiling would not be so important.

Just an interesting note: the most vilified politicians in Washington right now are people that campaigned and promised to cut spending and not raise taxes and have stuck by their promises. So like not closing Gitmo is not a broken promise it is just compromise. So like not ending wars and in fact starting more is not a broken campaign promise it is just doing the right thing. I thought we elected politicians to do our bidding but apparently none of you seem to expect your representatives to actually keep a campaign promise. Most curious!

This is the most spot on political commentary I have seen in awhile. America needs to understand that Israel is pursuing a RELIGEOUS path that will not change. After all, God has spoken. What our relationship with Israel will be should at least be made with the reality that war and land acquisition is number one on the Israelis to-do list.

The problem with debt is not who or how much we tax it is how much we spend. I guess the debt ceiling is less of a ceiling and more of an imaginary line! Teenagers can be taught what a credit card limit is but apparently not a Congressman. Like I am sure the first time your kid maxes out a credit card your first response is to go to your boss and demand a pay raise. Now I know some of you can’t relate to that example but YOU do understand it. It also seems the Administration has some trouble obeying laws. Everything from bamacare to illegal border crossings is fair to ignore. So much for knights in shinning armor! I’ve already decided that a tree stump would make a better President.

I heard Obama’s speech and although I thought it was a ridiculous attempt to be funny the idea of a moat was received favorably by MALDEF. Evidently too many Mexicans are being injured falling from ladders. The news of the moat was especially favorable when Obama assured MALDEF that the alligators would be toothless and could be bludgeoned to sell as boots on the American side.
