   I think James K. Polk was one of our most effective and least appreciated presidents. Nominated because they couldn’t agree on anyone else, he was barely elected in 1844. He had six campaign promises:

   Lower tariffs.

   Re-establish an independent Treasury.

   Resolve the border between the Oregon territory and British Canada.

   Bring Texas into the Union as a state.

   Acquire California and the New Mexico territory.

   Serve one term.

   He worked tirelessly and accomplished all six. Then went home and died.

   “In a landmark decision, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that former president Donald Trump was disqualified from appearing on the state’s primary ballot in 2024.”

   “The Justices’ 4-3 ruling concluded that Trump engaged in an insurrection with his words and actions around the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol and therefore could not hold the nation’s highest office again.”

   A Colorado district court had previously ruled that the January 6 Capitol attack was an “insurrection” within the meaning of Section 3, and that Trump did “engage” in insurrection by inciting the attack.

   The Supreme Court over-ruled the decision on a specious technicality, but did not question the fact that Trump engaged in insurrection.

   Historical fact. Your boss Putin effortlessly manipulated greedy stupid Don Trump. Trump’s campaign manager was on the Russian payroll for 10 years. Went to prison. Trump’s National Security Advisor in secret contact with Russian intelligence before, during and after inauguration. Went to prison. Trump family and advisors secretly met with Russian intelligence again and again. Trump advisors gave extremely detailed voter records to Russian intelligence.

   Putin launched huge, sophisticated hacking and social media campaign to get his boy Don Trump into office. In return Trump spent his whole term working to eliminate sanctions on Putin; working to attack and weaken the western alliance and NATO; working to hand over assets and information to Putin, and to relentlessly provide excuses and diplomatic cover for his master Vladimir.

   You lie. Everyone in the world watched the Trumpterd mob storm the capital in order to overthrow our 230-year democracy. Everyone in the world saw them attack the police and vandalize our capital in order to sabotage the electoral votes of the American people. Everyone heard Don Trump egg them on and on in a desperate bid to cling to illegal power.

   The Trumpterd attack reached the heart of our capital, where not even the most fanatic Al Qaeda terrorists ever reached, and where huge Confederate armies never reached in four years of war. Thanks for hating America, Trumpterd traitors.
