Is it me or do you find it both appropriately respectful to honor President Carter and disturbing and creepy for democracy that the flag is at half staff?
Where I live, school buses have a kind of metal arm that comes down…probably as an extra precaution. Our Louie takes his job very seriously and might have made some of his yellow coat double as an arm.
And we drive on the parkway and we park in the driveway. I think that was from a stand up set from the great George Carlin who had some thoughtful insights into our language.
Thank you for the reach out to all who are Red and Rover family. Yes, a human error easily explained. No embarrassment needed. Today’s gift is Rover’s smile in the last panel. With or without mud.
When my neighbor retired she wanted to be a volunteer dog walker at the local shelter. On her first day, she was given Buckley, a black lab. On their walk, she noticed that every now and then he would turn his head and look right at her. Eye contact. Connection made. So she just kept walking until she walked him right to her house. It would be his forever home with her and her surprised but welcoming husband. Buckley is at the Bridge now. Probably playing with a Pug. (Yes, there was some notice given and paperwork involved with the shelter).
