The comments from Trump supporters here are foolish, as might be expected from fools. Sorry to have to say that bluntly. I understand we are all prone to wishful thinking sometimes, but the torrent of nonsense that has poured out of the mouth of the swindler-in-chief really should have triggered even reasonable person’s BS detector long ago. We can’t plan for our future following a leader whose only skill is spinning fantasies. Trump will never and can not make America great again. He lacks the critical thinking and real leadership needed to do that.

Assisting citizens to further their education is a very good idea.A well educated populace makes for a more prosperous and stronger democratic society. That’s why, in some of our States anyway, we led the world at one time in quality public schools. In our increasingly technological world, wiser nations have seen the need for ever higher education and aim for that goal by making public universities tuition free. In our own capitalist country, the student loan crisis was caused by outsourcing a government program to for-profit banks.

Of course, Trump would never do or even think of anything that would benefit anyone other than himself, but, hypothetically, if he did propose student loan forgiveness, Chip and the MAGA crowd would be the first to proclaim what a brilliant idea it is.

“There’s a sucker born every minute.”

No one knows if P.t. Barnum really said it, but Trump has proved it.

In our federal system, State laws and federal law are in separate books, albeit with references to each other. The MAGA scam victims blaming President Biden for the their swindler-in chief’s legal woes in New York do not understand this. The GOP congressional representatives who perpetuate this misunderstanding know it, of course, but are happy to keep the ignorant ignorant. Shame on them.

There is a difference between the results of a carefully conducted trial with evidence presented from both sides and adjudged by a jury, and the unprofessional comment of one lawyer in the Justice Department.

The Hamas terror attack on Israel was an atrocity that called for a response . Mass punishment and brutal revenge, however, are not a wise or effective response. The Israel bombings have led to a death toll among Gazans, many times more than the Israelis killed or taken hostage in October, and millions left homeless and starving without access to medical care or even clean water. This will only strengthen support for Hamas. There is no reason for Americans, or Israelis, to support these stupid tactics of the Netanyahu regime. Friends don’t help friends kill their neighbors’ children.

Thank you for this information. I worked for HUD and in public housing management myself, but have been retired since before 2014.

“They” have no power to decrease the cost of living, unless you are referring to large corporations. Contrary to what you may hear from right wing propaganda media, we do not live in a socialist country. There are no price controls at all, no caps on usurious fees charged for credit. We do have a minimum wage that often does not even allow for full-time working people to pay for ordinary rent and groceries, forget medical bills, child care or an occasional night out.

Wise choices on climate policy, although probably inadequate. We need drastic action to counter climate warming. Cooperation of all nations is needed. Meanwhile, right wingers are doing all they can to prevent progress in both domestic and foreign policy, including blocking needed aid to our allies, and spreading lies. This cartoon is one example of their dishonest behavior..
