Snorting a little coke off the diner table? “They sat in an abandoned luncheonette, snorting imaginary cola, and drawing faces in the table top dust….”

Ball State, that makes me think back. Frank and Fred Ball were (are?) good people. They spent summers in Northern Michigan and Fred had a recording studio. Frank had an interest in skiing and golfing and was an owner of Sugar Loaf Village. Later on a childhood friend of ours, Keith Otterbein, coached football at Ball State. Ball State.

Sounds like the group that owns this town I have my business in, the cult of scientology (AKA Clearwater, Florida). They own 80% of downtown properties and they too have a spaceship at the ready for when the world blows up.

I still don’t understand, after all these years, why the girls don’t wear caps or visors in the field. But there are certainly heavier issues I still don’t understand after all these years so I guess it doesn’t matter that much but if anyone has an opinion I’d welcome it. Also, can anyone remember the last time we saw the Thorp kids? It’s been five years, that’s all we’ve got, that they’ve been missing. At least five years hasn’t it been?

I still don’t understand why the girls don’t wear caps or at least visors to keep their fricking hair out of their eyes. It just doesn’t make sense and every team I see pictures in our local sports sections shows girls wearing visors. Of course we still don’t know what happened to the Thorp kids so I guess some mysteries are never solved.

I still don’t understand why the girls team doesn’t wear ballcaps. Many of them have long hair and it seems if they wore caps it wouldn’t get in their eyes so easily. But they have the cool custom hats to wear when they aren’t playing so maybe that makes up for no caps on the field?

Can any of you remember how old the Thorp kids were when they “disappeared mysteriously from Milford and memory”? Is this kid one of them grown up and getting back at his father for doing whatever was done to him and his sister (right? there was a sister too wasn’t there?)

The football squad is actually discussing a fellow student (and teammate’s?) tardiness at practice? That seems unlikely doesn’t it?
