Well I’ve been “copyin’ the mail” for a while and decided as a long time fan to jump in. First, for those of you who are truly worried, having read all the strips several times I am fairly certain this is not the end, and just like the old time movie serials, Calvin will squeak out of this to return next week in a whole new thread! I promise. And some of the comments today implying Calvin should get religion seem to remind me of the saying “there are no atheists in fox holes.” It’s what one does after the smoke clears that counts. Bill Watterson did bring religion and philosophy into his work on many occasions, but if Calvin stopped getting into trouble he’d stop running out of story ideas, which he did eventually anyway.
