   OT- SasamiWe had to say goodbye to one of our senior kitties yesterday. Sasami was 16 years old- would have been 17 on Father’s Day. After dental surgery earlier this month we found out the swelling in her mouth wasn’t an abscessed tooth, but a tumor growing in her jaw. She didn’t let it slow her down, and she was happy, although very drooly until she was unable to eat anymore. She (my avatar) was only about 3 weeks old when we found her on the side of the road still trying to figure out what to do with all those legs, and trying to follow a pair of wild turkeys and their chicks. She was happy and purring right up to her very last breath. We miss you, Sasami, but know you will be with us always.

    the big thing here this year was potatoes. Kids were thrilled to get them, some even choosing them over candy.
