Uh… someone already beat you to that one. ;D

Somehow a “guru” sitting on top of a mountain asking someone if they’re “truly living or merely existing” seems a self-evident example of that question.

Then they pretty much have to rely on people giving them stuff, because they’re obviously not working for a living.

Oh wait… this is a comic strip? Never mind. I like the character anyway. ;D

Keeping in mind that this is a comic and driving a steamroller home is part of the absurdity of the joke…

I like how he just walks by his boy and doesn’t say a word. Guess he figures if the kid didn’t listen before…

What is funny about this (depending on the person reading it and their taste in humor) is that the cartoonist pulled off the joke with such subtlety. Subtle humor can be very funny.

My guess though is that he didn’t just take a break shot. He probably couldn’t resist sinking a couple of balls before getting back to work. That’s just horse sense.

Kaffekup is so very correct in this. I cannot count how many people I have heard claim the KJV is the “only” Holy Bible. So I guess that leaves out the thousands of earlier texts in Greek, Latin and even Bibles written in English that pre-date the KJV. It also eliminates any Bible written in French, German, Spanish, Italian (sorry Rome!), etc.

I have long considered this proof of how little people actually think about what teachings they swallow. Not just in religion, but science, politics, really all fields of life. That’s why fake news and propaganda is so effective.

Humankind is somewhat like a dog; it just kind of tends to swallow stuff down whole.

What cracks me up most about politics is that anyone here (or elsewhere) thinks their opinion is worth a hoot… or even more humorous… that their opinions might actually be of some benefit. HA HA HA HA HA…

Honestly, people argue and debate this stuff like they think they actually have any idea what’s going on, that they know what will go on behind the scenes once someone is elected, or that their hotly-debated opinions might actually improve things. What is that called again… Delusion Syndrome?

Sadly no matter how much someone points this out they just get more insistent they really do know. That’s one of the primary symptoms; it’s part of the delusion. ;D

    Politics:

    1) the practice of electing the lesser of two evils.

    2) The art of convincing someone a process works although it never has.

    (See Star Wars: Pudu) ;D

"Anyway, I’ve made my case for replying. I don’t necessarily expect you to change the way you’ve been doing it, so I’ll stop flogging this expired equine. :-)
