there used to be a zoom function built in to GoComics. Sadly they did away with it when they redesigned the site a couple years back.

Oh, yes, they do! And more (like all the decorations in the classroom, all the extras, etc.)

ridiculous comment. dues have no effect on class supply purchases. All you’ve made clear is your hatred for unions and your belief that teachers should have no protection from firing for any silly reason nor any job security at all.

if you shop carefully, you’d be surprised how much I (yep, a teacher still) and others can buy for our classrooms.

HA. PARENTS should be doing this, as they did when I was growing up. TAX dollars are to go to salaries, TEXTBOOKS, TECHNOLOGY, teaching materials, building maintenance & utilities, insurance, furniture, busses, and other capital expenses.

Paper, pencils, glue, crayons/colored pencils and all the other PERSONAL use supplies should be PARENT supplied. But they don’t, so teachers pick up the slack.

Further, a tax dollar “decorated” classroom is as bare as bare can come. All those super beautiful classrooms with posters, decorations, rugs, etc were paid for by the TEACHERS themselves.
