What does this have to do with caffeine? And why is he chastising her about caffeine when she has just defended against a threat to her life & theirs?

You can always take a screen photo, then rotate that photo.

It’s pretty common for an umbrella like that to rotate if there is any wind. So the umbrella MIGHT have been facing the other way to block the late afternoon sun, but if there was a bit of a breeze, it might have ended up facing the way it is in the picture. For that reason, I’d say that is a weak clue.

This seems excessively mean & unforgiving treatment for Breezy who was knocked out, not gave up on Rip. I mean, it doesn’t even make as much sense as all you can eat pancakes.

Unless of course, the bullet smashes into something. (such as a bullet proof vest) Then any scratches on the bullet from the gun are likely obliterated. Well, in real life anyway. The whole concept of solving a crime by using scratches on the projectile or shell casing to identify a gun, and then using the gun to ID the shooter is weak at best. I can’t recall any real life crime being solved by examining the projectile or brass. Key take aways: 1) Scratches on the projectile are often obliterated on impact. 2) Any marks left of the bullet or shell casing by the gun can change as the gun wears over time. Also easy to change these marks with a few strokes of a file on the innards of a gun. 3) If shell casings were so easy to identify, then criminals would be dropping handfuls of random shell casings at the scene of a crime to confuse the law. 4) Many criminals use stolen guns, or at least guns not registered to them. So unlikely to connect the gun to the criminal.

I KNOW this is the comics, but still, it is disappointing to see such a disregard for research & the facts.

It’s all about FaceBook, Twitter, Gmail, & other for-profit companies putting advertisements into your conversational stream. So you can’t just have an electronic conversation without their ads. Annoying.
