My 69 yo old husband doesn’t know how to converse. I think most ppl can make small talk about the weather, don’t you? But how can I encourage conversations with my husband?
The ones that I use don’t get much turnover and are often stuffed. So I tidy them up, try to make the books look more appealing, move the books from box to box. But I’m glad the idea does seem to be spreading.
This was me, with my sons. They didn’t seem to care as much, but I wanted to make memories. And this was before smart phones, and we did have some fun adventures, but I still always feel driven to make the most of summer and vacation.
Or storybooks that claim to be folklore from another culture but aren’t accurate because the author doesn’t really know. So, stealing ideas, basically.
I have the same question. I’m not ready for assisted living, and once I am I plan to ‘eat, drink, and be merry,’ but what kind of balance is my aim at this time of life, at this baseline level of health? I ask my doctors, and they won’t even guess.
