Also, one in 5 children in the US are food insecure. Which means they don’t get regular meals every day. I had someone argue that they didn’t care, because it was their parents job. So if the parents are sick, mentally ill, or drug addicted, it’s okay if the kids starve. Love that mindset!
Wow. A lot of people here are sure scared of romance novels. Tsk. And yet, will have no problem watching the most violent acts in media and not caring if young people see those violent acts, real or fantasy.
Now see, I’ve lived with tornadoes, blizzards, and flooding all my life. So we know what to do here (Ohio). But earthquakes seem quite terrifying, with no way to mitigate a bad one. (Although at least the building on the West Coast have been designed with that in mind.)
