Another one I read: in “showbusiness” the “business” is a lot longer than “show”. In the business section math is number one priority, that’s for sure. If anyone, not just Heart, wants to be in showbusiness, they better know a lot of math before even starting. We’ve read about many stars who were taken to cleaners and ended up in rooming houses because they didn’t pay attention to the math side of the showbusiness…
As soon as e-mail started, eons ago, this was one of the shaggy dog stories that made the rounds. Speaking of “rounds”…the other famous forward was the drawing of a “round to it”. I printed it out and it’s still on my fridge
I’m pressing “like” in sympathy, not that I’m liking that you fell…It’s just an awful experience falling down from stairs, that’s for sure. Your dog sounds wonderful to be so empathetic right away. My dog would have smelled me and then lied down next to me, she’s just made that way.
The premise is based on the custom that a younger sister cannot marry before the older one is married. We know why she’s not married right off the bat so the play is all about finding a suitor, and how he “tames” her. In my opinion, this is another of Shake’s plays that didn’t age well at all….BTW, this custom is still followed in some cultures.
