Borden may have married into big money. Might the Knights team be owned by his wife? Major sports franchises are worth colossal bucks. The commissioner of the league is apt to turn a blind eye to most indiscretions, yet not all (see former Clippers owner Donald Sterling). But in the wake of a recent murder in the clubhouse (Minit Mystery), a brighter light may shine on activities connected to the Knights. Clearly, the devilish angels believe Borden is a prime target for blackmail. Now they have a bobble-head bounty of fresh footage. Will Borden pay or might he sing to the MCU?
I like the setting of the scene for the meet. We move from wide-shot of the restaurant replete with plants, light fixtures, beverages, and a waitress taking an order, to the smirking bobble-head, to a close-up of the chip in the hand. Well done! Thanks for the generous likes. Much appreciated.
Lee discovered that Pierce had been researching the tabloid, which Sam also reads. Sam told of the Parking Bureau scandal it broke last year. The team has not yet deduced that Pierce was reading about it because he was being blackmailed by the owner. Solid police work and foreshadowing.
1. Over the shoulder and through the town. He cops a free read. Catches a frown.
2. Sneaky is the thief. Weighty is the grief.
3. Small doorman has eyes. This beauty a prize.
