It puzzled me too, then i got it. I think she is holding the perfume in her mouth, and is humming, not whistling. Humming, not to attract attention, but to be like “I am of no concern to others.”
If you’ve got liquid in your mouth, you can only hum…. which makes sense. Then she will spit it back into the perfume bottle after her luggage goes through.
All I can say is yech, that’s got to taste bad. But clever…
