Gord is a car guy. That was a joke. His GF of two years knows he is not a player and ready to trade her in for the next new and shiny thing that passes by. In her heart she knows that was a compliment that indicates how much he values something that is established and reliable over something unknown and flashy. Gord is a good man, Tracey knows it.

Good surveys never have required answers. Always give those that are doing you a favor the option of either skipping a question or providing a n/a or “I don’t know”, or “Other” as a valid response. If you treat those you are surveying with respect, they give more honest answers. Short 3-5 question surveys get much higher response rates than multi-page surveys. Allow anonymous responses. If you want more feedback add this to the end: “Would you like to complete a more in-depth survey?” Only then ask for contact information.

I live in Banderas Bay, Mexico. I’ve lost count of the number of times when a whale has breached or spouted very close to the boat with no warning. We all keep a sharp look out for whales, dolphins, and rays. We share their bay and we try to respect them. We’ve had whales playing in the middle of regatta fleets. I had a whale surface under my boat (I was not chasing whales, just motoring across the bay), there was a thump and when I looked back the wake was red with blood. Felt absolutely sick. Full stop and thank goodness the wounds were few and superficial (as near as we could tell through binoculars) and the whale continued on after a few seconds. I still feel bad about the incident 10 years later. But there is nothing we could have done different. No indication of whale activity in the area at all, and we are pretty good at spotting them to avoid conflicts. BTW – When a whale spouts close to your boat, talk about bad breath! ;-)

First panel the boat operator has no idea that the whale is there (notice the focus of the people is forward not into the water). Second panel the prop is stopped.

Could not have been the flood. Two of each would have been on the Ark. :-)

If you read the Constitution you will find that the USA is NOT a “Christian” nation. It never has been. “under God” was not added to pledge of allegiance under the 1950’s under Eisenhower. No is stopping you from being christian and practicing your faith. That is what religious freedom is all about. In the USA the majority cannot ignore the rights of the individual. I don’t want you teaching your “brand” of faith to anyone but your children, and I won’t expect the public schools to endorse/teach my “brand” either … fair enough?
