Mankind is not as big an influence on the planet as we have been lead to believe. If you gave every person on earth 4 square feet to stand, 2 ft X 2 ft, roughly like standing in a moderately crowded elevator, then leveled an area to put them all, the entire population of the earth would fit in the state of Rhode Island…with enough area left over to do it all again. Double the earth’s population would fit in an area the size of Rhode Island.
Mokurai, you have been misinformed. Wind power, which is the most efficient of the renewable energy sources, is still twice as expensive to produce and fossil fuels. The only reason it is competitive is because of heavy government subsidies. Solar power is much more expensive to produce, and solar plants are being abandoned everywhere as the government subsidies run out.
And as for electric cars being so cost effective, when you pull into your garage and plug your car into the electric outlet, where do you think that electricity is coming from?
As for the Paris accord, India promised not to raise emissions levels, but they won’t move to reduce them any either. China’s emissions will continue to rise and peak in 2030. And it’s all nonbinding, so when the rubber meets the road, what do you think will actually happen?
LBATIK Nice comment. Only problem is that every one of your points is wrong. Warming has begun slowing over the last half dozen decades, and has leveled off over the last two decades. The fake scientists are at a loss as to why their models were so wrong. Their only comeback is to double down on criticizing the “deniers” who have been proven right by the actual recorded data rather than the faulty models.
If you look into it, you would find that only a small portion of the Antarctic is melting, that being due to an underground magma floe near the surface. The glaciers on the rest of the continent are getting thicker. Bet you didn’t know that. All the “LUNATICS” are the ones concentrating on the 5% that is melting and ignoring all the rest because it doesn’t fit their agenda.
