Too sentimental. You can’t smile away a deadly virus. Pig and Goat look odd, smiling that way. Pig looks good with his super happy open mouth grin. It’s a good thing Rat isn’t pictured here. In a strip a couple of decades ago, he tried to smile, and his head more or less exploded! And still would, no doubt, at a self-deluding American president with severe mental disabilities who mistakenly thinks he’s doing a good job.
Goat should have had Pig’s line, with Pig’s expression still frozen in extreme joy.
