   We had a Siamese pair when I was in high school. We named them before we even met them. They were to be Kabooki and Yogihami, called Yogi and Boo-Boo. We got her first and she was always Kabooki, never Boo-Boo. She was far too regal for a nick name. He, however, was called Yogi. The tabby to follow was Sneakers, fondly nicknamed Sneakerdoodles and sometimes mistakenly called Snickers by my elderly landlady and then my mother-in-law. Now we have a long haired tuxedo that came with the name Tokyo. Husband calls him dawg and Bustopher (after the “Cats” character). My mom calls him Tux or tuxedo. The tiny calico came with the name Gina. Husband calls her G-G-G-G-G-Gina. My mom calls her Toots. When she’s being nice and sweet I call her Tootsie Roll. The neighbor girl used to call her butterscotch. Collectively the two (Tokyo & Gina) are known as The Monsters, as in “Did you feed the monsters?”

   I used to share my bedroom with my cats. Then I married a man who had never had pets before. He declared the bedroom off limits. I had told him that my oldest cat, Sneakers, had lived with a Siamese and picked up some English. He didn’t believe me. Fast forward to our first night home after honeymoon. Three very confused cats when I said goodnight and then shut the door. In their faces. Oh the horror!! One very confused husband asking “Who is that?!” When the grey tabby employed his English asking “guys?guys? guys?” as he pawed under the door trying to get in. We still laugh about it 7 years later, even though Sneakers has been gone for several. He never passed on the English language lessons to his 2 housemates, so we don’t have conversations through the door anymore, but they do still paw and claw when we try to sleep in and don’t feed them according to schedule.

   @GeorgiaDunn Yay! So happy to have you pop in and comment on our comments. This is the one thing I missed about not having the comic on BCN’s website. Thank you for chiming in. And thank you for finding a way to continue giving the world the wonderful kitty news while taking care of yourself and your family. You are one of my heroes!

   Actually, a hallmark of most Siamese is a crook in the end of their tail. I think Georgia just exaggerated it a bit in this “poofy” panel.

   Georgia has confirmed on the BCN site that it is, indeed, Watership Down. Great eye, cldisme. She said that she tried to indicate it with the W and D and a rabbit in the middle, just as you saw!

   You don’t have to. You can check out the BCN website at http://www.breakingcatnews.com. As others have said, this site it a bit behind that one, though catching up nicely. Once you have caught up to current day over there you will have to wait, but our lovely Georgia always makes it worth the wait!
