    Funny, many of the genre’s leading lights (Y.Z. Hamilton, Bill Monroe, David “Stringbean” Akeman) had a far more cerebral approach to their art than ol’ Hen House here does.

    You probably can (and as of the mid-2010s, there were places in Southern California that sold that sort of thing). But vintage TVs are not compatible with today’s HD methodology.

    The same principle as a television set in the late 1950s. Hit it on its side and the reception improves dramatically. Of course none of those sets work now…..

    Kidney treatments usually means dialysis. Some who have been there have described it as, “getting beaten up several times a week”. Wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Sad.

    The assumption that when someone of Mrs. Horner’s age is “losing it” as the result of the slightest deviation from perfection in terms of responses, actions, etc. is a huge part of the problem. While not a one size fits all solution, patronizing someone in that position is counter productive, and often perceived as taking away the independence that person has enjoyed their entire life.
