   In North Dakota, Native Americans living on reservations were barred from voting because their voter ID law required a street address, which usually doesn’t exist on rural parts of the reservation. This case was only recently settled after a multi-year legal challenge. Other problems that are difficult and expensive to overcome include no birth cert due to home birth, lack of permanent residence (homeless) and other costs and burdens of low socioeconomic status which disproportionately affects minorities and people of color, but in any case disenfranchises people who have a perfect right to vote. In general, republicans don’t want these people to vote because they generally don’t vote republican.
